“Omgosh yaaaayy!!! I’m in love with it!!!”
Those were the words tonight from my most recent Etsy “Sunflower Mailbox” customer, Krystal. It always feels good to hear this kind of excited feedback!
These painted mailboxes are a bit labor-intensive (and very messy, requiring sign-painter’s oil enamel which can be challenging to work with in a number of ways – fumes, drips, stickiness, mineral spirits, dry time…) but the time and tlc required is rewarded knowing that my customer will feel a little more daily joy when getting their mail, and hopeful others in the area will smile a bit more, as well!

The joy I feel when clients communicate their feelings about my work and how gifts were received brings such meaning to all I do and strive for as an artist. I am humbled when I think about the number of people who have personal and family keepsakes in their homes all across the United States and some pieces abroad. Many of these works will be passed down through generations. I am grateful to God for the gift He has given me and my good fortune of being able to work as a full-time artist.
