Political Parrots as Talking Heads: Bye Bye Jon Stewart

I used to love Jon Stewart. I thought he was pretty funny. I now think differently, and it isn’t just this one glimpse of his darkening viewpoints.

This is just the kicker to the occasional clips I hear of him these days.

The world has gone mad. Bewitched before our very eyes…

I pass on this YouTube I just listened to, and a second one I heard this afternoon that seems to be, in a sense, a companion piece. In the first with Matt Walsh, as it proceeds on, there is mention of peer reviewed “data.” That, in part, was the subject of Bret Weinstein’s piece today (the problem these days with peer review by “experts” rather than interdisciplinary review).

I think a close listen to both of these would be beneficial. The topics are well-addressed in both talks and need not my feeble input or explanations.

Can we go any lower than putting political allegiance over the clear welfare of children? I was sickened to hear Jon Stewart’s spewing of baseless, fact-less, pseudo-data nonsense in his interview with the Arkansas politician.

I’m tired of political parrots as talking heads.
