The Official Farce

July 15, 2023

A couple weeks ago in my readings it came to my attention that mtf’s (this is the abbreviation used in gender ideology meaning a biological male that attempts to become a female) are still required to register for selective service.

I’m not sure what I found most interesting about this–the commentary in the online discussion where one person was old enough to remember the wonderful MASH series and the Corporal Klinger character, who was hoping to get out of military service on a “Section 8” by wearing dresses, or when I pulled up the actual document on the dot-gov website and easily noticed an often-used word that got past the proofreading squad!

As they say, the proof is in the pudding!

Despite a tremendous push for all kinds of governmental legislation aimed to force us to accept that men can become women and should be a protected class with various rights connected to their stated sex, the most powerful of US governmental forces ultimately isn’t playing along with the charade! They (both federal and states) may increasingly pass laws aimed at making “misgendering” someone a felony, yet require said “female” to register for selective service upon turning 18. (the subject of requiring women to register is another topic that has been trying to assert itself in the US…to date…without success…WOMEN AND WAR – THE ALTERATION OF SOCIETY’S CORE (PART I))

On this hum-drum Friday night of writing a few thoughts here, I’m thinking we need to have an Orwellian sequel novel starring Corporal Klinger, new head of the Ministry of Truth!

I know there’s a lot of gobbly-gook in the military’s answer below, which leads people such as me that aren’t too smart to ask dumb questions such as “you keep using all those words, and it sounds so confusingdoes this mean Lia Thomas gets to swim on the women’s team but might potentially have to serve in army combat because she’s that strong? I don’t get it!”

“Selective Service bases the registration requirement on gender assigned at birth and not on gender identity or on gender reassignment. Individuals who are born male and changed their gender to female are still required to register. Individuals who are born female and changed their gender to male are not required to register.

The legal authority is based on the Military Selective Service Act (MSSA), which does not address gender identify or transgender persons. In addition, Presidential Proclamation 4771 refers to “males” who were “born” on or after January 1, 1960. Thus, Selective Service interprets the MSSA as applying to gender at birth because Congress did not contemplate transgender persons or a person’s gender identity when it required on “males” to register when the Selective Training and Service Act of 1940 was passed and amended by the Selective Service Act of 1948 to create the Selective Service System.  Until Congress amends the MSSA or passes a separate law addressing transsexuals and gender identity, Selective Service must follow the intent of Congress when it required only males to register – the registration requirement is based on gender at birth.

In the event of a resumption of the draft, individuals born male who have changed their gender to female can file a claim for an exemption from military service if they receive an order to report for examination or induction.”

    1. I think I would trust Maxwell over Dylan to walk with me through the Korean (or any other) muck. He was actually sane, it seemed to me.

      1. Absolutely! I remember bits and pieces of a few episodes when Maxwell demonstrated very deep compassion and sanity in the face of the horrors…
