Note that the very first person who did not understand nor stand in solidarity with Job was his wife. In the footnotes in BibleGateway (NIV) it says “Job 2:10 The Hebrew word rendered foolish denotes moral deficiency.” In II Corinthians 6:14-18 we are told not to be unequally yoked and this passage is often associated with marital partnership.
