INTO Mason’s Five-Caricature-Shindig (December 5th Party!)

Below I feature five caricatures that were finished up between August and December. They were all presented at one, big party in early December.

INTO MASON is part of George Mason University. I have done a number of caricatures gifted to staff that are promoted, move into new positions, leave INTO MASON for other horizons or to further their education! It is always a pleasure to work with all the ideas given me as to things about the individual, whether personal or professional, and work back-and-forth until together, we refine the ideas into one big picture.

Usually, on the more involved pieces, I try to determine the general setting/theme, honing in one some aspect of emailed information to set the stage for the caricature layout!

The joy I feel when clients communicate their feelings about my work and how gifts were received brings such meaning to all I do and strive for as an artist.   I am humbled when I think about the number of people who have personal and family keepsakes in their homes all across the United States and some pieces abroad.  Many of these works will be passed down through generations.   I am grateful to God for the gift He has given me and my good fortune of being able to work as a full-time artist.
