Re-Creating the Scene of His Most Excellent Crime!
Morning by morning
I awake with a sense of dismal Despair
A sense of inevitable, potentially looming
Failures
Which might only compound the
Already looming Losses
From my waking view
I see the outside blue skies
And creatively-formed
Clouds
And I am tempted to
Make sense of some playful or ominous form
And, as though nothing matters anymore
I find myself brewing coffee
Congratulating cats for an
Execution
Well-performed during the
Night-time
One less Problem on my plate
They prance around
And I noticed plants knocked off
My little indoor Garden
As His Highness, Marley, seats himself
Under the plant stand and drinks from a crystal bowl
Surely, he wordlessly knows my animulative thoughts
And answers my question before I ask…
Which one of them did this dastardly Deed?
Proudly, he reposes in a place I’ve never noticed him
Previously repose
And in his intense silence
Tells me the story of exactly what happened
As the drip drip of the coffee maker begins
I follow them into their
Little unnatural restaurant
And find the cute-but-dead little Mouse
In my pathway
And I am animated, shouting “YES, YES, YES!!!” to cats
The adrenaline and amusement
Of the situation
Empower me to believe
I might write
I might create
And I might yet…Change something in this world…
