Tonight in my YouTube feed this talk called Trans: When Ideology Meets Reality (with Jordan Peterson and Helen Joyce) came up and I listened all the way through. I think this is a worthy share. Dr. Peterson presents so much for consideration, drawing upon his deep expertise in the field of psychology and his own personal experiences of vitriolic response to his non-compliance.
Equally, Helen Joyce, a British journalist, presents such keen observations and also tells of the vitriolic response to her book, as well. Toward the end of the presentation she identifies herself as a non-believing Catholic (along those lines) yet throughout the talk at times she refers to the sacred and the demonic. In the latter portion of this talk, she explains why this is the only language she sees fit to use for what she sees, feels and believes, despite the fact that she no longer believes in God. I found this quite interesting and revealing.
Toward the end, as well, Dr. Peterson freely releases his own emotions and angered outrage at what he sees happening. I found it quite an authentic expression and quite revealing, given his training and credentials. Jordan Peterson is a professing Christian, and from the little I’ve read about him he does make references here and there to matters of faith, morals and ethics, in-and-amidst his no-nonsense, rational approach and heartfelt appeals for accountability in the protection of the victims of this dark movement.
The victims are children and young adults, and he repeatedly outlines this assessment in this presentation and in others I’ve listened to, going so far as to liken what is happening to ancient practices of pagan child sacrifice. He makes one such reference part way through this talk, toward the end.
I had been thinking of sharing/forming a blog commentary with some other thought-provoking videos and news I saw earlier this week at some point, and watching this excellent discussion centering on a number of aspects of the transgender movement and activists tonight was the impetus that brought it all together.
This hour-and-a-half segment is well worth the full watch for anyone seeking understanding of the darkness we are beholding in all of these matters. Below the first video is a quick list of words/phrase used by the speakers which I felt note-worthy, as I listened, sometimes pausing and re-winding to re-hear parts. My personal notes are intended to pique interest in the deeper content so well laid out by these two, not to fully summarize this difficult subject matter presented.
- Linguistic battles: you have to use their language
- Being a woman is a feeling that can be in a man’s head.
- Mockworthy
- Online mobbing
- Narcissism involved
- Ultimate moral authority over your seniors
- Misgendering
- Necessary victims of an ideology
- Sacrificial victims of the ideology, children being used as props as their descriptions of who they (parents or others) are
- Narcissistic rage and activist meltdowns
- Expecting others to play along as supporting actress and actor in their own life
- Pronoun laws
- Temperaments
- Realm of sacred and demonic and religious consideration
- Why mothers and people who care about child protection are among those most disturbed at what we’re seeing
- Social media and the rise and weaponization of DEI
I was thankful to learn this past week that Vanderbilt Hospital has temporarily made a decision to pause (so as to protect) minors from having life-altering gender surgeries. As I read various links relating to the situation, I was shocked (but not surprised) at a revealing speech (below) by Dr. Shayne Taylor in which we begin to hear (she unashamedly points to the big money to be made) just one of the big truths behind the driving force/top-down agenda regarding these mutilations and child sacrifices.
I also learned a new term in my browsings this week: Trans Buddy.
